Hill House School partnered with OSI to revitalise their student common rooms — reimagining them as vibrant, multifunctional spaces designed for relaxation, dining, and social interaction. The project’s primary aim was to deliver a fresh, comfortable environment that blends durability with modern design, encouraging students to unwind and connect in a stylish setting.
Scope of Work
OSI was responsible for the full installation and fit-out of the common rooms, focusing on high-traffic functionality and visual appeal. Key elements of the installation included:
Series 100 Sofas in a bold mix of Red, Blue, Grey, and Green — offering both aesthetic diversity and practical seating for individuals and groups.
Series 100 Square Tables — robust and versatile, designed to support casual dining, study, or conversation.
All furnishings were chosen for their balance of style, strength, and comfort, aligning with the school’s contemporary interiors.
Project Objectives
The school’s brief was clear: transform the common spaces into inviting areas that support relaxation, socialising, and flexible use throughout the day. This meant:
Maximising comfort without compromising durability
Ensuring the layout could accommodate both individual and group activities
Creating a space that felt fresh, modern, and student-friendly
Challenges & Execution
The project timeline was tight, with work scheduled during the school holidays to avoid disruption. Thanks to detailed planning and close collaboration with the Hill House team, the refurbishment was delivered smoothly and on time, with no issues during delivery or installation.
The Result
The newly refurbished common rooms now act as a central hub of student life — vibrant, functional, and future-proof. The space has been met with enthusiastic feedback from both staff and students, who praised the updated look, comfortable furniture, and thoughtful layout. The variety of seating and colour options bring energy to the space while supporting a range of student needs.
